Over the last couple of months I've been working on a new, completely different version of '40 Elephants' called 'How Many Ladybirds?' It's a lot more colourful and organised more like a traditional number picturebook full of native wildlife. I've deliberately picked species that are present in both the UK and US so that that the book will appeal to both markets. I changed the book to take on board the advice offered by publishers at the Bologna Children's Book Fair earlier in the year.
